Russell High had a wonderful day, spreading happiness, on Monday 28 August. Dressed in yellow, the staff and girls danced in the streets spreading messages of happiness to motorists, pedestrians and offices around Russell High. Later, Maritzburg College, St Nicholas, Heritage Academy and Alexandra High, joined the Russell girls outside the city hall. In keeping with the Happiness theme, the Russell Staff and girls have undertaken many community projects.

Fahmeeda Mahomed and her pupils, together with sponsors, created ‘happiness’ packets, filled with exciting presents including stationary and sweets. They handed them out to pupils of the Nxamalala Islamic School, in Mpophomeni township, Howick.
